The Rural Transit section manages rural contracts, vehicle specifications, training programs including RTAP, Technical Assistance Projects, and rural and specialized transportation federal grant programs for DRPT. These programs include the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) programs 5309, 5310, 5311, and the JARC. 

Rural Transit also provides state assurance and technical assistance to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Civil Rights, and Drug/Alcohol programs. For more information on rural transit grants, see our Grants section.
