Richard L. Beadles, Member, appointed July 1, 2005 to serve a four year term beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2009.
Mr. Beadles currently serves as Director of the Virginia Rail Policy Institute, a private, not for profit activity dedicated to enhancing public understanding and perception of intercity rail as a realistic, cost-effective and environmentally friendly mode of transportation for both people and cargo. He also served as a member of the Governor’s Commission on Rail Enhancement for the 21 st Century.

Sharon Bulova, Member, appointed July 1, 2005 to serve a four year term beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2009.
Mrs. Bulova, elected in 1987, represents the Braddock District on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. She serves as the Board’s Vice Chairman and Chairs the Board’s Budget Committee. Sharon Bulova also served as Chair of the Governor’s Commission on Rail Enhancement for the 21 st Century. As a founding member of the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Operations Board, she helped to establish commuter rail service in Northern Virginia and continues to serve in a leadership role on that Board.

Mr. Crewe is Principal of the Trenton G. Crewe, Jr. P.C. Law Firm in Wytheville, VA. He also serves as the Mayor of Wytheville, first elected in 1990 and reelected every four years since. Trenton Crewe has been the President of the Twenty-Seventh Judicial Circuit Bar Association since 1985.

Dwight L. Farmer, Member, appointed July 1, 2005 to serve a four year term beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2009.
Mr. Farmer joined the Southeastern Virginia Planning District Commission in 1978. In 1990 the Southeastern Virginia and Peninsula Planning District Commissions merged to form the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission. He was appointed Director of Transportation of the merged Commission, and then in 1998 was appointed Deputy Executive Director, Transportation.

Peter J. Shudtz, Member, appointed July 1, 2005 to serve a four year term beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2009.
Mr. Shudtz has been with the law department of CSX since 1976. In 2004 he became Vice President-Federal Regulation and Washington Counsel for Washington, DC, Richmond and Jacksonville. He is a member of the Association of Transportation Practitioners and served on the Interstate Commerce Commission from 1973 to 1976.

Gregory L. Marston, Board Member, was appointed on March 2, 2007 to serve a term beginning January 7, 2007 and ending June 30, 2009.
Based in Crewe, Mr. Marston is the Virginia Legislative Director of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and has served as the Secretary Treasurer of the Local 0598 since 1990. In addition, Greg Marston has served as a track foreman with Norfolk Southern’s engineering department since 1984, and he has been a Norfolk Southern employee since 1982.

James L. Keen, Member, appointed January 2007 to serve a term beginning January 5, 2007 and ending June 30, 2010.
Mr. Keen has served as the President of Keen HR Services, Inc., which provides human resources and public affairs consultant support, since 2001 and has served as the Town Manager for the Town of Grundy since 2007. Mr. Keen is a member of Virginia’s Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) which establishes the administrative policies for Virginia's transportation system and allocates funding for highway, aviation, port and public transportation projects. His term with the CTB expires June 30, 2008.
