DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAM

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26.

DRPT has received federal financial assistance from the USDOT; and as a condition of receiving this assistance, DRPT has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

DRPT’s DBE overall goal for the three-year period of Federal Fiscal Years 2022–2024 is 7.8% for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assisted contracts.

Public Meeting

DRPT hosted a virtual public meeting on July 21, 2021, to consult with stakeholders, which include minority and women-owned business groups, community organizations, trade associations, and other officials or organizations that may have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged businesses and to accept comments on the DBE overall goal and goal methodology.
